Great pub great atmosphere
Great atmosphere, lovely staff and awesome love dj set... We danced all night!!
Great bar that stands out amongst a lot of average pubs. It's eccentric in the decor and has a welcoming vibe. Tuesday open Mic was relaxed with two good acts on whilst we were there. If the drummer reads this, you were great mate. Wednesday was packed out and still a very friendly vibe. It's not like a 'local pub for locals' and it's not a tourist place either - it suits anyone who likes things a bit different. Indie, rock, hippie cool gaff and best bar we stopped at.
Great atmosphere at the open mic night (Monday night - yes boring old Monday night!). A mix of good talent and those "needing practice and exposure" lol. Reasonable prices on drinks and fast service from very friendly staff. Quite busy but still found seats up in the "gallery" area. The sound engineer (I think was called Bradley ) did a standout job getting good sounds for all the acts. He even went on stage and tuned up a few guitars for the less experienced players. Top man. Main thing about this place was the atmosphere - it was like friends and family, everyone singing along, helping the guys who forgot the chords or lyrics... Just great fun! Definitely will come back in the future.
