Very late review of a fantastic meal we had in September! We are steak aficionados and know our red meat, but the sirloin steaks we had here exceeded expectation! Cooked to perfection (not too rare but not upper scale of medium rare) and sliced like butter with a beautiful flavour! It's clear the chef is a master butcher (which he is) with an exemplary knowledge; not just of how to cook the perfect steak but an encyclopaedic expertise of how to source the best meat and exactly how to cook it. To add to the culinary experience, the ambience was just right and the presentation exemplary. Food, ambience and delightful and professional staff gave us a lovely and memorable evening. Welcoming customer service but the food wasn't really worth the price tag. I really wanted this restaurant to be everything it promised to be. Sadly I was very disappointed. Had the marinara for main, sadly more peas than seafood. That coupled with all the staff watching I'm a celebrity get me out of here whilst we were eating dinner didn't really help pacify the food disappointment.

One of the best seafood restaurants I've ever visited (and I've visited hundreds). Excellent food and warm, friendly service. I cannot recommend this place enough. Will definitely be returning when next in Newquay
