Amazing blue sea the sand is soft white and you can relax and just enjoy the beach. Stunning.
Small station with one platform. It's mostly served by a shuttle train service from Par that stops at tiny stations between there and Newquay. It runs about four times a day; late start and early finish. In July and August, there is a through service from Paddington once a day, arriving about 14:30, departing 15:00. Even though it is an Intercity 125, journey time between Par and Newquay is still about an hour. Relaxing but a bit frustrating.Newquay station is generally unstaffed except in the holiday season. There's a covered but open waiting area. Toilets are signed to be around the corner from the main entrance. There's a step free entrance in the street beside the station, and a taxi rank is there too.The station's location is great, as it's in the town and most places are within walking distance. This can make it a great way to visit Newquay without a car, and avoids the traffic especially in Summer.
Absolutely love newquay beautiful beaches plenty of places to visit . Great food and very strong cider friendly locals and a good mixture of shops. You cant leave Newquay without trying the local cornish pasties and cream teas.
Great seaside location for a short break
Very scenic en route to Newquay, long journey but we let the train take the strain.
